The central teaching of Jesus is simple: Love God and Love Your Neighbor (Matthew 22:34-40).
At The Oaks, we invite you to join in showing this love by serving in our community.
Currently, we gather once a month on a Saturday morning at 10:00am for one hour of shared service.
What are the kinds of things you do? In recent months, our outreaches have included providing Christmas gifts for children in need, sharing flowers and chocolates with staff and residents at a local memory care facility, sharing some quarters (and smiles) with folks at a local laundry mat, offering some of our community first responders some snacks, and handing out free sunglasses at the Peach Festival. We have many more opportunities coming up in the next few months!
Who can be part of this? The simple answer is...everyone. You don't have to be a member of our church to serve. Just email Pastor Jon Reeves to let us know you're showing up.
How can I get involved in this ministry? The best way to get involved in serving our community through The Oaks is to show up and participate in our Super Saturday of Service gatherings. For details every month, be sure to check our Upcoming Events page.
